Our CEO and Founder John Anderson was honored with the prestigious International Humanitarian Ellis Island Medal of Honor by the Ellis Island Honors Society in New York on May 10.
John was joined by his wife Jo-Anne and family, along with President & COO David Smith, Senior VP of Sales for North America, and East Coast General Manager Brett Libke, and President of Dole Diversified Americas Enda Walsh. Together, they watched him take the stage alongside other remarkable recipients, including Queen Silvia of Sweden, to receive one of the United States’ most distinguished awards.
The Ellis Island Medal of Honor recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service and impact through their life’s work. Past honorees include U.S. Presidents, world leaders, and Nobel Prize recipients.
John becomes just the third Canadian in the award’s 38-year history to receive this incredible honor.
